Meds 4 Vets is a Utah based compounding pharmacy serving the veterinary marketplace exclusively. This high degree of specialization allows us to carry more difficult to find medications than other pharmacies serving primarily human patients. Custom dosage forms and flavoring

We also specialize in veterinary-specific flavorings and dosage forms. Our triple fish suspension starts with a puree of actual salmon, sardines and tuna and is sure to please even the most finicky feline. Our triple meat suspension is equally impressive with dogs. And with dozens more flavors to choose from, we're sure to satisfy your entire range of patients. In addition, our standard capsule size is a petite size 3 (about the size of a 25mg Benadryl® capsule), easily handled by even the smallest dog. And for cats, we recommend an even smaller size 4 capsule, not possible with the majority of commercially available capsule machines.

Transdermal gels

For your tougher patients, we are able to compound transdermal gels. Application to the inner ear allows penetration directly into the bloodstream. This exciting option is highly effective for both hydrophilic and lipophilic products, although the insulin molecule is too large for consistent absorption. These gels have been extremely successful for cats as well as other patients with a psychological barrier toward medications.

Sterile injectables and ophthalmics

Our compounding capabilities also include a highly efficient sterile compounding area where we compound a broad range of sterile injectables, eye drops and ointments and other products. Sterility is ensured using high-volume sterilization technology including autoclaving, convection heat and a 22-micron filtration pump system.
